Citing an official statement obtained by Kompas.com on Friday (4/2/2022), Director-General of Immigration and Transportation at the General Directorate of Immigration, Amran Aris, said B211A tourist visas obtained by foreigners and citizens are valid for 60 days in Indonesia. The B211A visa can be extended for up to six months in Indonesia.

“For example, foreign tourists visiting other areas can extend them by applying for a Visiting Stay Permit (ITK) from the local immigration office,” Amran said.

B211A Foreign Tourist Visa Application Process

At the same time, the process for foreign tourists to apply for a B211A visa is as follows: the guarantor (in the form of a travel agency or a hotel company) registers as a guarantor on the visa-online.imigration.go.id website. After being approved by the review team, the guarantor will apply for a tourist visa (B211A) by uploading the request. Clerk within 3 working days to check requested documents. The approved e-Visa will be sent through the email address of the sponsor and the foreigner, allowing the foreigner to fly directly to Indonesia.

Director General of Immigration Public Relations, Muhammad Fijar Sulistyo, said the registration of the B211A visa must be done through companies or intermediaries (such as travel agencies) that are responsible for the presence and activities of foreigners in Indonesia. Applicants from these following countries/territories below will be required to come himself/herself to apply visa application at the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta.

Applicants from South Asian Countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) must provide additional documents as follows;
1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
2. Requires a copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)
3. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
4. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
5. The visa process will take at least 1 week

Applicants from some African Countries (Algeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, DR Congo, Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Libya, Liberia, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Sudan)
1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
2. Requires a copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)

*Applicants from Nigeria are required to give a “Certificate of Clearance” issued by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria (NDLEA) that has been legalized by Nigeria MFA and the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja, dated within 6 months

Applicants from other African Countries (Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Chad, Cote d’Ivore, Djibouti, Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Swaziland, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Gabon, Comoros, Lesotho, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, and South Sudan)
