The event aims to instill a new passion for ancestral cultural heritage in the management of coastal areas with a high level of wisdom for sustainable conservation of the environment, artistic creativity, sustainable economy and ongoing community activities. This festival showcases the unique art of Nusa Penida.

    Omed Omedan is a ceremony performed by young men from Banjar Kaja, Sesetan, Denpasar. Omed Omedan is held every year after Nyepi Day. That is, the day when Saka New Year is greeted at Ngembak Geni. Omed-omedan comes from a language of attraction.

    Omed-omedan includes sekaa teruna teruni, unmarried young people between the ages of 17 and 30. The Omed-Omedanian procession begins with a communal prayer for salvation. After the prayer, the participants were divided into two groups of men and women. The two groups face each other on the main street of the village. After an elder sent a signal, the two teams looked at each other and pulled each other. The ceremony was attended by 40 men and 60 women. Applicants from these following countries/territories below will be required to come himself/herself to apply visa application at the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta.

Applicants from South Asian Countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) must provide additional documents as follows;
1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
2. Requires a copy of Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Resident Permit (KITAP)
3. Evidence of accommodation in Thailand and travel itinerary
4. Letter of employment/enrollment from company or university/school (if applicable)
5. The visa process will take at least 1 week

Applicants from some African Countries (Algeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, DR Congo, Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Libya, Liberia, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Sudan)
1. 3 application forms, 3 photographs and 3 sets of supporting documents
